Job Purpose Summary
To be key day to day point of contact for our regular active accounts and to increase sales according to sales targets
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Communicating sales messages to key contacts within our regular active accounts via mail and phone.
- Assisting partners in identifying the right products to address their specific requirements.
- Managing specific outbound phone campaigns as lead follow up.
- Using internal systems to enter orders from our partners.
- Updating the internal customer database to ensure all relevant data is captured
Business Planning
- To formulate quarterly outbound contact plans
- To quickly gain the necessary product knowdlege to handle most general sales enquiries
Market knowledge
- A basic understanding of the networking market and familiarity of the broad solution sets
- A basic understanding of the routes to market and the roles of the various channel organsations
- A basic understanding fo the competition to DrayTek
Skills
- I high competency to communicate clearly on the phone.
- A good listener that can quickly understand and empathise with customers.
- Ability to position the DrayTek solution as a value added proposition
- Ability to get the job done within set timescales.
- Ability to Influence the buying decision.
Responsibilities
- Work to deadlines including prioritising your workload
- Maintain a smart and professional appearance at all times
- Ensure line manager is fully aware of your activities, which accounts you are working on and that there is regular ad hoc feedback on how sales strategies are progressing
- Attend various trade shows and other activities that support the sales effort as defined by line manager
- Updating the company CRM system with all of the key contacts, the markets served and forecasted buisiness within your distributor accoutns.
Key Measures of Performance:
- Monthly sales review meeting with line manager and other individuals to monitor progress and identify where support may be required
- Up-dates on how you are performing vs targets and expectations of DrayTek.
- Direct feedback from each account on your perceived effectiveness, presence on ther sales floor and business acumen required to drive the business forward.
Experience
- At least 1 year experience of selling or supporting networking products or trained in telesales.
- A working knowledge of routers, access points and LAN switching.
