Hi, has anyone else had problems with their 2866 after trying any firmware after 4.4.5.2?
Runs stable as anything for weeks & months on 4.4.5.2, if you install any Fw after that including 4.4.6.1 it randomly reboots, sometimes lasts an hour sometimes lasts minutes.
We have 4 x 962AP's running off it through a POE unmanaged switch (TP Link) and we find if we disconnect that POE switch and thus the 4 AP''s the 2866 will run fine.
As soon as they are back in the network its goes back to rebooting.
Any ideas anyone? TIA

I have not seen any issues with new routers. Not even the 4.4.6.x firmwares.
Could you please contact UK support, provide them with config and logs when the reboot occurs while running latest firmware?

Hi, I'll have to ask our IT guys for the logs. We have managed to get it running stable by disabling the WCF in the firewall.

Regarding this issue with a 2866 rebooting with 4.4.6.1 installed, the only way to stop this is either go to a much earlier firmware or turn off the web content filter.

We have noticed that 4.4.6.2 is released on the ftp site https://fw.draytek.com.tw/ and some of these issues are addressed in the release notes.

Is this ok to use or will there be a different release on the UK website shortly?

Hi Justin,

The UK release will have UK specific modem codes for ADSL/VDSL, but if you're connecting to the internet using WAN2 PPPoE you should be fine. (NOTE I haven't tried it yet!)

The UK release should be available in a week or so, but I may dowload the https://fw.draytek.com.tw/ version if my router bombs out again.
