IV. Voice-over-IP (VoIP)
ExpiredHow do I dial IP addresses from the phone handset?
Instead of using a SIP registrar or a remote VOIP user stored in your dialplan, you can lift the handset and dial an IP address directly. That address must be the WAN-side (internet facing) IP address of another VoIP device which supports the same Codecs as your device.
You cannot dial alphanumeric addresses or @ symbols (to do so, use a dial-plan entry - see later). To dial an IP address, start and end it with a # (hash) replace the dots with * (star). Therefore, for example, to dial user at IP address 212.123.45.12 you dial #212*123*45*12#
