How to uninstall VigorACS

This article explains the process of uninstalling VigorACS from a Windows or Linux installation.

Before uninstalling VigorACS and sub-components such as MariadB, please check and ensure there are no other databases in the MariaDB database which are being used by other applications.

WARNING: All VigorACS data will be LOST

Uninstall ACS-SI for Windows

  1. ACS-SI can be uninstalled from a Windows installation by locating the VigorACS SI in Windows Programs menu

    Follow the on screen instructions.
  2. To uninstall MariadB (MySQL), in Windows go to add or remove programs, this can be found under Programs and Features. Select MariaDB 5.5 (x64) then select Uninstall/Change
  3. There may be folders left in Windows which may contain some files, to ensure a complete uninstall of ACS-SI, please check for the following folders and these can be either renamed or deleted.
    C:\Program Files\VigorACS SI\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\VigorACS SI\
    C:\Program Files\MariaDB 5.5\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\MariaDB 5.5\
    C:\EMS

WARNING: All ACS-SI data will be LOST

Uninstall ACS-SI for Linux

  1. Login to the Linux server as root
  2. Change dir to /usr/local/vigoracs/VigorACS/bin
  3. Run the command ./vigoracs.sh and the menu below will be displayed:
  4. Press '4' to shutdown ACS-SI. The confimation Stopping vigoracs: [OK] will appear once ACS-SI has stopped
  5. Press '2' to shutdown mysql/mariadb. The confirmation Stopping VigorACS MYSQL: [OK] will appear once MariaDB has stopped.
  6. Locate the original folder where the VigorACS installation file were saved and run the following commands:
    # chmod 755 ./uninstall.sh
    # ./uninstall.sh
  7. The menu below will appear


    Select 1, then 2 and then finally 3.
  8. To complete the uninstall please rename or delete these folders
    /EMS
    /usr/local/mariadb-5.5.24-linux-x86_64
    /usr/local/vigoracs
