the incoming wan of the 2820 with name DSL needs an RJ11 (both ends)male to male
This is what needs to be connected direct the 2820 with the phone socket
The other incoming wan (named wan 2) needs an RJ45 (both ends) male to male but is only to be connected with another router or pc or switch only
For voip it may useful to have a spare a cable with one end RJ11 & the other end BS6312 431A plug male to male

I'm using 2820vn connected to ECI openreach modem on wan 2 internet working fast, 74Mbits down 18Mbits up, I have a telephone connected to phone socket via draytek adaptor for voip, what I want to do is have the viop phone able to switch to bt line as and when I want to use bt line instead of draytel voip account, so need to run cable from bt master socket to Line in on draytek 2820vn not dsl.
hope this makes sense?
Thanks

i think you need a cable with one end RJ11 & the other end BS6312 431A plug (male to male)
The RJ11 end it connects direct to the 2820vn and the other end BS6312 431A connects to phone socket
wait someone else to confirm as i am not using voip

Yes I think your right, BS6312 to Rj11 but the old phone plugs used 4 pins where as the new use 2 so I dont want to buy the wrong cable...
