Unable to use config from 2862 to 2865 was created by MarkG1234
According to this,
https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-transferring-configurations
I should be able to import my 2862 config backup into a 2865 router, both running the latest firmware, however when I try and do so, the router hangs and needs factory reset. Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround?
Thanks

I too would like to know the answer
It would be handy to be able to copy the config from a 2862 to a 2865ac (obviously, the network config, there being no WifI config n the 2862).

I had this problem.
Disabling IPv6 on the WAN connection seemed to mitigate it for me.
Not an ideal solution, but I haven't had time to do a factory reset and manually enter the config yet.

Hi - I am upgrading from 2862ac to 2865ax and am looking into this too.
I read on Draytek site the 2862 needs to be using firmware 3.9.2 to be able to save the config file and import into 2865.
I'm using 2862 with firmware 3.9.9.12_BT
I will try when I get the 2865 but does this mean I need to downgrade firmware on 2862 to version 3.9.2.
If this is so can I save firmware 3.9.9.12_BT cfg then reset 2862 and downgrade it to firmware 3.9.2 and then import the 3.9.9.12_BT cfg file?
Then I can save the cfg from the 2862 and import it into 2865?

It just means 'at least' 3.9.2...you're taking it a bit too literally.

I just wondered why others had no joy...thinking they were using wrong firmware version.
I will try but I think I will just spend the time and config from start even though its a pain to do.
Cheers
Well my 2862 had latest firmware and 2865ax had latest too. Did a factory reset on 2865 then exported cfg from 2862 and imported it into 2865....worked no problem.
