TL;DR: I am looking for a way to set the TTL for LAN DNS entries.

Somewhat longer version: I am setting up DNS entries to some of our internal servers with the intent of being able to redirect the DNS to a backup server in case things go heywire. For that purpose, the current TTL value of 24 hours is way too long. Is it possible to change the TTL value to a much shorter one?
