I am wondering if someone can advise a novice.

I notice in my Vigor 2763 router that P1 is registering 10/100M instead of gigabit. The router goes directly into a gigabit switch which then goes off to multiple places. Ultimately to my main PC which is also has a gigabit card within it. This is where I want the speed. I now have FTTP which exceeds 100MB.

What would cause it to negotiate this slower speed and is there anything I could check or do to get it back up?

Have you tried a different patch cable between the switch and the router?

Thank you for the reply. I had not done this as I did not anticipate this could be the cause. However, it was and it has now been solved.
