I've recently had FTTP 550/75 service installed. My ISP is ClaraNet and the FTTP comes via Openreach's GPON Fibre network. 

I'm measuring speed as 100 down and 70 up from a PC connected wired. I've switched on Hardware Acceleration for NAT and turned the Data Flow Monitor off in the 2865. There is one custom rule in the firewall. The 2865 has firmware 4.5.2_BT and the WAN1 (VDSL/ADSL) interface is switched off.

As an experiment I connected a 2860 that had been reset to factory default, then Hardware Acceleration turned on. Same measurements.

If anyone has any tips to squeeze the max throughput from the 2865 they would be much appreciated

I would say if you've got the line to come up and have h/w acceleration enabled, then the issue isn't at your end - unless you're routing through something else that's only 100Mbps capable.

And the router says the that the WAN port is at 1000Mbps ?
