Apple Home Pod Mini - WiFi Issues was created by John
My Home Pod Mini keeps disconnecting from WiFi. It also fails to connect following WiFi Router restart.
The Home Pod Mini was returned to Apple for checking, and was reset then the latest firmware applied.
From online searches, this looks to be not uncommonly reported.
I'm wondering whether there are any settings in WiFi that enable Draytek Router WiFi better to integrate with Home Pod Mini.
I have both 2.4G and 5G WiFi enabled, and both use the same SSID. All other WiFi connected devices have no problem at all. Only the Home Pod Mini is problematic.

I might create a dedicated SSID on 2.4GHz only and connect it to that.

I did try only 2.4GHz and only 5GHz and the Home Pod was no better. I tried turning off Mesh; no difference, and I also tried various of the advanced settings but no joy.
My next step is to try it on a different WiFi access point.
It never connects automatically following a re-start.
I renamed the Home Pod, reset it and have had it connected now for about 7 hours. It seems to prefer the 5GHz WiFi connection.

I think I might have figured it out ...
I was thinking back to when it used to work reliably and recalled at when first installed, the Home Pod Mini was located in a different room from the WiFi Router.
I have relocated the Home Pod Mini from its position on a desk approximately 0.5m from the router to the other side of the room, so that it's now about 4m from the router.
It has sustained its connection for the remainder of the day, and re-connected on re-start without intervention which would not usually happen.
If this works over the coming days, I'm presuming that the conclusion must be some sort of overload of the Home Pod Mini's WiFi receiver.
