Dear All,
Any idea why the firmware avaiable is different between the US and UK. For example my 2692 uK version is 4.4.3.5 while in the US its 4.4.5
I asked the reason and via e-mail they stated " The firmware published on UK website is sometimes going through some further testing and it may take longer to be published because they need to go through the testing to ensure compatibility for UK customers."
I asked DrayTek what further testing they need to go through to ensure compatibility for UK customers”. No ?
Thanks,
Steve.

That is the reason usually given because of the FTTC modem and differences in how that works with different national phone networks. This obviously makes sense in that context. However for the 2962 and similar, that is obviously not relevant as you don't have a modem on board!

Thanks Bob, I hope Draytek will share their views on this one. It applies to all their products without connectivity to 3rd party suppliers.
