AP906 Wifi stopped working

Latest purchase of a used 906 - I set it up a week or two ago as a wireless mesh node, copying the config from another 906 that serves a different part of my house, and all appeared OK. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I noticed that the WLAN LED was off (and the uplink LED of course). Checked via the 906's web interface and couldn't see anything obvious, I've reloaded the firmware (including from the TFTP tool), reset to factory settings, tried AP mode... no joy. Noticed if I press the WLAN button, the LED flashes twice then goes off again.
Anyone come across this before? Can't find any mention online of two flashes as a diagnostic code.

Weirdly, without me doing anything the WLAN LED is now lit. Still won't connect to the router via mesh though.

I'd forgotten about this but as it happens one of my 906s started playing up recently, think it's the same one. I thought it was OK but realised I was having trouble getting a connection to it. Will try flashing the firmware back to factory and set it up again from scratch this week.
