2866Vac - MacBook cannot connect if WPA3 is active was created by Mark

Bought an M5 MacBook Air today. The first step on opening the lid is to connect to WiFi.
It would NOT connect to my Draytek 2866Vac WiFi.
Mac is fine. iPad is fine, iPhone is fine but the MacBook would NOT connect.

That was at 3PM. FIVE hours later, I diagnose the problem. If my Vigor router is configured for WPA3, or WPA2/WPA3, the MacBook can't connect.
If I change it to WPA2 only, the MacBook connects.

4.5.2.2BT firmware.

I tried WPA3/WPA2 on my 2927ax and AP906/905 mesh quite some time ago. None of my wifi devices would connect, whether or not they were WPA3 capable or only WPA2, so I went back to WPA2 and have stuck with it since. Life's too short.

My MacStudio (still on latest Sequoia) can connect to WPA3.
iPad on Tahoe 26.3 can connect to WPA3

My MacBook (Tahoe 26.4) cannot.
