WoL (Wake On LAN) with G2500 switches was created by davidmatthewson
Hi
I may be being an idiot but I can't seem to get WoL UDP packets to pass through a pair of G2500 switches we use. I have tried various tools to generate the magic packets and can see them locally in Wireshark (& other WoL sniffers).
But, I can't see them in Wireshark on target PCs nor can I get them to switch on via WoL. I've checked that the target PC BIOS/UEFI are set to 'wake on WoL' as are the NICs.
Could the switches be blocking the broadcast of the UDP port 9 packets? - I've seen something similar with some Cisco switches but....
Any ideas please?
Thanks!
David
