I am considering replacing my aging (but very reliable) Intel Wireless Bridge with an AP700. At the moment I am running with with just WEP, so I would like to jump to to WPA2 (assuming my phone Nokia s60 based device) will support it, along with my laptops, etc.
As I have lodgers in the house, and other network equipment the idea of a second SSID and VLAN appeals. However I am not sure what else I would need to implement this? I used to use a Draytek 2800VG as my router (and AP), but after a few months of dropping connections I replaced it with a Cisco 837. I also have a Cisco/Linksys gig switch (non-managed).
Essentially I would like:
vlan0/ssid_full: full access to devices in the house & internet (wired & wireless)
vlan1/ssid_lodger: access to internet only (wireless only)
DHCP is currently provided by the Cisco 837.
Any thoughts / comments would be most appreciated....
Thanks,
Matt
