AP903 firmware upgrade issue was created by colni
Hi all ,
Tried to upgrade my AP903 to the Latest Firmware Version : 1.4.21 and it's boot looping
No idea what happened it was working before the update
Now it just cycles through the boot up sequence with the led lights then just repeats
Has anybody tried this release ?

1.4.21 is working on my AP903, but I took a while to update.
The version I used was downloaded from the link in the AP903 UI.

I have one that ACS auto-upgraded from 1.4.20 to 1.4.21 - no issues with that either.

Perhaps I've been unlucky but I left it for 4 hours and it just kept boot cycling
It was also done from the UI , since it wasn't coming back before midnight I had to take it out of service , I'll try over the weekend to see if it will boot after being turned off for a period perhaps it will fail back but I've done many updates to the boxes this is the first to just purely fail

Hi,
Have you tried using the Firmware Upgrade tool yet?
Grab the 1.4.21 FW and the Upgrade tool from the DrayTek FTP repository and flash it that way, you don’t even need to force the 903 into recovery mode, just search for it when on the same subnet as it is and then load the 1.4.21 FW into the tool, add the user and password and flash away…
I have just tested this with a recently decommissioned AP903 that was on FW 1.4.20, it upgraded no problem at all. Admittedly, I had already reset it to factory settings before the upgrade, but at least you know it can be done.
Upgrade tool
FW for AP903
Good luck.
